Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply when you use Read the Room (readtheroom.pub), run by [YOUR FULL NAME], [INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITY CERTIFICATE NO.], Lithuania. By using the site you agree to them. Contact: [hello@readtheroom.pub].
What the service does
You upload a photo and we use artificial intelligence to suggest books that match its mood. Recommendations are generated automatically and may sometimes be inaccurate, for example a wrong year, author or description. Please check a book before you buy it. We are not responsible for purchases you make from third-party shops we link to.
Your photos
- Only upload photos you have the right to use.
- Do not upload photos of other people without their permission, or anything illegal, sexual, violent or hateful.
- You keep all rights to your photos. You give us permission to process them only to provide your reading.
Free readings and fair use
Free users get a limited number of readings per day. Do not try to get around the limit or overload the service with automated requests. We may block access that abuses the service.
Paid readings
Paid packs and Unlimited access are sold by our payment provider, [PAYMENT PROVIDER], which acts as the seller of record and handles payment, tax and invoices. Prices are shown before you pay and include VAT where applicable. Unlimited means unlimited personal use for as long as the service runs, subject to fair use.
Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because readings are digital content delivered immediately, you lose this right once you start using paid readings, provided you agreed to this at checkout. If you have not used any paid readings, write to [hello@readtheroom.pub] within 14 days for a full refund. If the service does not work as described, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.
Availability
We work to keep the service running, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change or end features. If we close the service, we will give paying users reasonable notice.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you can contact the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, vvtat.lt).
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect purchases you made before them.
